stupid question probably but figured it was worth checking before I dumped too much money into it....

these guys can be pulled down the same as anyone else, right?  you don't have to wait for them to drop on their own, or do you?

Yes, they can be pulled down. I am going after one right now. Just use scouting trips like any other pulldown.
