Will some of you vet's take a look at my West Texas State team in Tark and tell me what I am doing wrong.  I am 12-6, with the 6 losses coming by a total of 34 points.  3-5 in conference, 5 losses by a total of 28 points, with two of them coming in double overtime.

I have altered my lineup, distro, etc.  I can play the good teams tight, but cannot get over the hump.

Any advice on lineups, distro, etc, would be appreciated.

Come on guys, 37 people have looked, someone has some suggestions.

Um, nothing really, you are beating bad teams and losing to some very good teams by a tiny bit.

I might tweak the distro down on some of your bench guys, Gilman's 50 shots could goto Nelson, Monahan and the other good players, probably get you another 1ppg.

You took over a C- prestige team and it looks like you changed the offense and possibly the D too.  it's just now looking like a solid D2 team.  3 of your loses have been to top 5 teams so you can't be too upset with those and the majority of the others have been on the road.  I would suggest dropping the press unless you plan on upgrading your team speed.  You're team is getting better, you may just have to be a little more patient.

I'm not sure about whether or not your team is underachieving, sometimes you just get some unfavorable bounces.

What I did notice in a quick peek at your roster was that your big men seem deficient in ATH.  The average ATH of your four big men is 50.  I'm not sure how that stacks up to all of DII in Tark, but it certainly is weak when compared to your opponents in the five conference games that you've lost.  I looked at the top four big men on those teams and the average ATH's were 66.5 (Mizzou Rolla), 70.5 (SW Baptist), 62.5 (Pitt St.), and 63.5 (Truman).  Your big men actually played better in those games than I'd have expected, given the fact that they were facing off against players with significant edges in ATH.

Obviously too late to address low ATH partway through the season, and maybe I overvalue ATH - but my advice would be to put a little more focus on ATH for your big men in future recruiting.
