Joining a new world question Topic

I am considering joining the Wooden world.   Right now Wooden is in the NT and all teams SIM run are available to reserve.  My question is:  If a DIII team that is currently coached by a human becomes free (coach quits or leaves for another job), is there a time that coaches in my position looking to join the world can jump on those schools?  Or am I only available to join the world and coach a team that is being SIM run now?  Just not sure if i wait a few days, if a few more potential schools with better players will become available.  Thanks for the insight.

After the job period there's an open signup period. Any team whether it was SIM last year or human controlled last year, as long as they don't have a coach, is able to be obtained. It's first come, first serve so you may want to get up early that day to get the best available team.

Is that day the first day after the NT ends?  For example, the national tourney ends on Monday (2:00am in the morning or something is the final game) and the following day  (Tuesday) would be the open signup day?  Thanks.

Nope-- it starts Jan 2, likely at either midnight or 2am. The tourney ends, then there's 1 day for current coaches to re-up, then I think 3 days for coaches to move from school to school.

If you want a human-coached school, and I'd recommend it, wait til the second and see what's available. With the current state of the game, there should be some decent openings. No matter what you do, look around for a decent conference-- there are a few in Wooden with great participation, active CCs year after year. It's a fun world for D3.

Perfect.  Thanks!  I will wait until the 2nd.
