Does everybody pretty much run a ML 5 man rotation or do any of you go 4 man?  What are the dangers?

There are so few off days that, if you run a 4 man rotation, you have to stay on top of your pitchers' fatigue.  You will likely have to have a spot-starter every 2 or 3 times around the rotation.

I haven't noticed it, but some say pitchers take longer to return from fatigue at the end of the year if they've consistently pitched the day they return to 100% rather than having a day at 100% to rest.

I usually go with a 4 1/2 man rotation.  Which means that I try to keep track of scheduled off-days and manage my rotation such that I can skip the #5 starter whenever possible.  Relistically, it probably comes out to more like a 4 2/3 man rotation.

I almost always run a 4 man rotation, works fine. Just shorten up pitch counts and have a spot starter available. Also, probably goes without saying, but it is much easier to run in a pitchers park.

Your starters will need nearly 30 durability to go every 4th day, or you will need a very deep bullpen .  I had a starter I pitched every 4th day and worked the rest of the rotation around him, and got away with 20-25 durability starters because of the starter going every 4th..

This. I know the heirarchy of my pitchers, and before each game I go down the line and see which pitchers will be 100% tomorrow and then slot the best one right after the current pitcher. I'll only start my #5 guy if my other 4 pitchers are below 100%. Seems pointless to start anyone other than your best pitchers if you have the choice.

In my experience, you can run a 4 man rotation with pitchers with mid 20's DUR. I disagree you need a "very deep" bullpen. You can't have more than one reliever with sub 20 stamina, but other than that you should be fine. (assuming you monitor for occasional tinkering)
