Type D pick won't sign Topic

I've never had this in my (relatively limited) experience in HBD. My Type D pick that I got because my last season's 1st round pick wouldn't sign - ALSO won't sign. Do I get another Type D pick next year for a type D pick that wouldn't sign this year?  God I hope so.
The guy was listed as "undecided". He never gave me a chance to up my offer. I got a red X the first time. Now  I can't even negiotiate. Its too bad because he was going to be good.

Nope you cannot. 1 thing I wish for the settings would be the option to make a "safe" pick with Type D and compensations picks while still being able to go aggressive with your true picks.

Ok, so a Type D that doesn't sign won't get you another type D. But has anyone seen a guy that was scouted to be "undecided" refuse you when you give them what they are asking and then never increase their offer? I thought "undecided" was just prospect speak for show me more money. This guy gives me the red X on the first negotiation.

I have head of this before in an "undecided" player-- it's rare, but it does happen.

You have a small chance of signing him. Resubmit the same offer every time he rejects it (ie, every time you get the "X"). Once in a great while, by chance, a player will accept it.

Why do you feel that an "undecided" guy is obliged to eventually sign?

Hehe.  This turned from "Help me understand this situation" to "This is bullshit" real fast.

I LOVE these threads.

I don't feel an "undecided" guy is obligated to sign, I just have never see a player refuse the first offer with a RED X (ie no further negotiations) - not even "probably won't sign" guys with mothers as their agents have done that to me.
So I'm trying to understand if a) has anyone else experienced this, b) how common is it and c) this is bullshit (lol - c) was just a joke).

That is, if a guy is truly UNDECIDED, I would expect there to be some back and forth. Not a red X on the first negotiation.

Well, to be be fair to the word, "undecided," I would expect that at least occasionally someone might decide against signing with a ML team.
