I hope this is true for my sake as well...I just went to Alabama in Tark from a pretty good run at a low-mid major. I'm not loving all the talk from the vets about how it is harder now to rebuild a low BCS school...
Same boat.  I'm about to start my second season at Iowa.  I know ardthomp just took over C- Hawaii as well.

I think it used to be easier and is now harder to rebuild a bad BCS school.   Still easier than building a mid-major that isn't located in Texas.

Oh, I think you have a much better chance of consistent national success at Bama than at any low/mid school.
