Interesting thread. I have a very high growth soph PF rated at 580 (gained 91 points his FR year, and another 15-20 or so in the rollover) and I'm considering RSing him as well. His rating points are spread out too much for him to be dominant this year, but I figured a RS year of growth means I can have him dominate for 3 seasons. I'll post in this thread how his RS goes. 

i sat him for  the first exhibition and tried again and he gave me the waffles email and his WE dropped 67 pts this time.  should i just give up or is it worth trying some more? fwiw, if i know its not going to work i do want to get some use out of him this year

people will tell you it will (or can) work if you keep trying, but I have not had a player take a redshirt that initially refused one in many seasons. YMMV
