All players start as rookies and progress throughout their career simultaneously.

You draft Magic Johnson.  You use 79-80 Magic Johnson for the first season,.

You use 80-81 Magic Johnson in the second season.

If a player misses a season (Michael Jordan 93-94), his team places him on IR for that season.

Original draft order will be determined by the NY Lottery system as used by most draft leagues.

All other drafts will be in reverse order of finish with a lottery determining the first three positions.

Draft order will be ABAB.

If a player is cut, he joins the veteran cut list.  If he is selected, he continues with his next season.

For example, 69-70 Spencer Haywood was cut after the first season of version 1.0 of this league. 

He was drafted, so his new team used 70-71 Spencer Haywood.

If Haywood had gone undrafted when he was on the veterans list, he would return to the rookie pool in the next draft.

If a player runs out of seasons in the database, (Brandon Roy with two seasons), he returns to the database as a rookie.

This league has run 15 seasons in its two previous versions.

In.  Question on the draft type ABAB.  Is that for the initial season too?  I know once records are established we do that, but that's a bit of an advantage to those fortunate enough to do well in the lottery for the first season.  I wouldn't mind ABBA for the initial season.

I'm in, and I strongly agree with jcred on doing the ABBA format for the first season draft.  Team Wilt always seems to dominate this league, and the ABBA format would seem to reduce that team's advantage.
