Just wanted to express anew my displeasure with the scouting evals. How many evals does it take to find out the perimeter potential of a shooting guard?  It ought to take 1. I am much more concerned with a SGs PER than learning on 3 reports about his shot blocking...Whether this kid is HH or LH actually matters, so now I'll go spend (waste) some more money on evals hoping my scout can figure out that a SG's perimeter might matter to me...

ETA: I sent 5 evals total (so far) for the record, was just ******** that 3 of them felt it necessary to tell me his SB potential while none give per...

I was thinking of this same issue a week ago when I was recruiting. I gave a recruit 10 evals to pull him down. Yet 3 out of his 6 high-potential categories didn't get mentioned on any of the 10 evals. Meanwhile, his potential in defense got mentioned on 7 separate evals! Basically the same thing happened to me last season with a pulldown.

I can certainly understand not wanting to give away all the potentials in one or two evals - I'm actually fine with 4 responses per eval. But make them diverse enough so that if I do 10 evals, I don't keep learning about the same 6 categories over and over, while still never knowing about other ratings that matter.

I think the first three or four should be a random set of skills - nonaverage skills.  Then at some point you should get an eval result that shows all the skills - your assistant has made like five trips to see this guy, he should be able to give a complete report - or he should get his resume ready

I think seble has listed this as one of the next few significant improvements to be made.  Not sure of the time line.  I couldn't agree more with your opinions.

I have to agree, the way evals work now is a joke.  There have been numerous times that I've got the exact same eval in back to back messages, with neither of them identifying the main categories for that position.  I would love it if Seble somehow worked it where WE could choose what categories we wanted evaluated.  If not, I'm with Mets, by the fifth eval we should get a FULL report of the kid's skills, not just more random bits and pieces.

We should be able to choose which attributes and how many attributes with price varying accordingly.

Totally agreed, dac. This is such a clear thing and really would be a simple fix.

meeeh, idk, it's kind of fun to up the variance and keep it random... frustrating, but also kinda fun.
