We need  new owners for the Minnesota and LA Dodgers franchises in the original just4me franchise progressive that started with the 1969 season and is entering the 1990 season.

In this league teams are essentially forced to try and win every single game no matter where they are in the standings as the 1st round only of each draft is based on a wins per $ formula.

We are preparing for the 1990 draft in January.

Payrolls are not as high in this league as other progressives as you can't carry a lot of extra salary on the bench like the RL Yankees if you want a chance at a high pick.

Draft Rules

Purpose/History: This league has been using a salary based formula for 16 seasons to determine the draft order. The old commissioner, Just4me, was pretty good at the sort of stuff and had a complicated system using standard deviations, weighted averages and about ten other things I didn't understand. The overall purpose was to give the teams who won with the least the highest draft pick.

New Formula:

Wins divided by total salary

The lowest value gets the best pick.

Addendums:

1. The AL teams will have there total salary reduced by 4%. Since the AL teams need to pay for more PA and IP (because of the DH) they shouldn't be punished.

2. The total salary will be defined as "total salary at game 151 (EDIT CHANGED FROM 120)". A teams total salary cannot be decreased by more than 10% from the starting salary. Teams can trade away as much of their salary as they'd like but their # can only by x- 10%.

I will do it. Let me look at that "roster" sometime today. When is the draft?
1/9/2011 7:43 AM
OK...I see what you were doing with the roster keepers...as there is simply no starting pitching next year, no matter who you keep.

I will also keep Robinson, Anderson, Carman, and Tabler.

Sierra is available for trade, if anyone has any interest.  Boyd, who is actually incredible this year, is available too - but I would need a real strong future pitching return as I believe I will need him this year to get a solid pick next year.
