I just signd a 3 star Inelgible player, but he did not make it on my roster after recruiting ended. Whats going to happen? this is the first time this has ever happened.....Do I have to re-recruit this kid again from scratch, if so, this is a bunch of BS!

He'll most likely show up on next seasons list of available recruits (with three years eligibility).
There is a carryover from your previous recruiting efforts so that should give you an advantage in recruiting him next season.
However, the Juco he attends may be on the other side of the country and he will have to be recruited from that distance.

It's not a bunch of BS, it's the well-known tradeoff for signing an ineligible. They'll generally attract less competition, etc. but there's a chance that they won't show. As Iguana said, a percentage of your effort will carry over to next season and it's fairly likely that he'll start that recruiting period already considering you.

Thats crazy how I have to re-recruit him next season. Lesson learned.

I'm D2 and have found about 70%+/-  of them report to campus.  It's a gamble for sure. Last recruiting period, I had a guy that I pulled down decide to go JC.  This recruiting period, like OW said, he is all the way across the country.  Signings havent started yet but I am optimistic.  FYI. If you do sign an ineligible, put all his minutes into study hall his first year.

It isnt crazy, it is the point of his being an ineligible.  Its a tradeoff  - kids like this may be easier to get because others dont like the tradeoff.  You can get a good player, but you risk

a.  that he wont enroll

b. if he doesnt enroll, he will expect SOPH mins in his second season even though he may have very low IQ in your off and def

You get partial credit for your effort on him - some say 25% some say 50%, I dont know.  So, you may have a good chance to get him with just some effort - depending on where he went juco

If you dont like the tradeoff, dont recruit ineligibles at DI

I'm glad for you john, but 8 of the last 8 ineligibles I signed have gone juco...that includes one at a B+ prestige school (D II) where I spent 20 HVs effort on him. And it seems that the kids don't bother to practice at juco, their stats hardly improve. Most of the ineligible players I take a chance on are guys with great potential, and wasting a year of practice makes them much less desirable as sophomores for me. I've started recruiting considered by last year's ineligible juco a handful of times, I've always rejected the kid because I didn't think his stats were A) good enough to play soph minutes, without which he'll whine like a ***** and B) going to have enough time to improve in 3 seasons vs what I had projected for 4, and the difference means that there is someone better who will give me 4 years. YMMV....

Three of my last 4 have reported.  I can tell you Wednesday what the 5th does. (I probably just jinxed myself)   I have found that many have high potential.  If you find the right player and can afford to possibly whiff, I think it's a good move.  Also, if the ineligible goes jc, you are still credited as having signed all your 'ships and any money you have left will carry over.
