One 1984 Pro Team - CLAIMED Topic

We have 1 team available in a 12 team - 2 divisions of 6 - progressive league that started with the 1970 season.

This 12 team format offers a rather unique opportunity to build very deep teams in a progressive league

Why play in a 12 team league?   Well, the bottom line is that your division winner will play in the World Series...it is that simple....no worrying about a great team getting ambushed in the playoffs...win the division and you're in!!

The league is starting preparations for the 1984 season and will be ready to start drafting as soon as you post your keepers.

...the previous owner cutting back on teams but not dumping...in fact, this team just won the league's 1983 World Series with a strong team coming back for 1984

Players include a young Darryl Strawberry, Fred Lynn, Willie Wilson, and Carlton Fisk. The pitching staff is primarily built around Bill Gullickson and Nolan Ryan.

League Rules

There will only be 12 teams in this league. There will be one division of six in each league.

The league started with the 1970 season

The draft order is determined at game 141. You must have won at least 40 games at that time or you pick 4th - unless you are taking over someone else's team from a prior season. Picks 1-12 for future seasons are determined by the inverse order of record at Game 141. Tie breaker will be the "expected win percentage" which can be found within the advanced standings. The team with the lower expected wins percentage gets the tie breaker advantage.

No DH, no salary cap, No AAA

Exclusive stadiums

No starting players out of position

Draft Picks may only be traded one year in advance.

No limit to the reserve list should your player be out a year in WIS database. Only players within the WIS database for a given season may be drafted.

If you would like the team, post your claim here and/or sitemail me
