He only had 2 decent ML seasons.

Is it because he has a low batting eye, tends to hit flyballs and no power?  I was hoping his 72 contact and 80 v. Righties and lefties would help trump that.

Can you link the payer?  I can't tell what ratings are what in the above post.

Over a full career, i'd expect an OPS closer to .710 - .720, but with 1400 career AB's, that's less than 3 full seasons. Could be that I am not giving enough weight to impact of Eye on AVG, or could be he's been a bit unlucky in a relatively brief ML career.

Slow, poor eye, no power.   Imagine a fat guy who swings at everything. 

Base running sucks too.

   He's been pitiful this year, and his career stats are nothing spectacular.268 avg, .336 obp.  Ive contemplated trading him, but not sure if I should give him more time to redeem himself.

I'd give him more than 69 AB to determine if he sucks.

His career line is probably pretty close to what you should expect. And while that may not be "spectacular", he appears to be in the top 3 in RC for that team every year.

That's solid production at an outfield corner.  47 homers a season over 4 seasons doesn't suck.  Wait out his slump.

I would say that his limited at bats at the ML level have impacted his ML production.  It seems when given the everyday job he has produced much more than as a pinch hitter or bench player.  Could be he is a great minor league player but an average ML player.
