This guy was a DITR a season or two ago. With his splits as low as they are, do y'all think his pitches can be effective at the ML level? I haven't been planning on him being used at the ML level, but I wanted some feedback.  What y'all think?

Mop up only, but sure.  I wouldn't pencil him into your rotation, that's for sure.

I'd think so with those pitch ratings. His splits are terrible but I'd give him a shot.

I wouldn't trust splits that low.  If his control was in the mid to high 90's, I might be willing to give him a shot in a mop-up role, and if he does OK then work him into LR or the occasional spot-start.  But he'd be on a very short leash, i.e. if he tends to give up a high OAV and WHIP, I'd dump his *** in a heartbeat.

Solid AAA stats and 8 spring training innings.  Splits always scared me away from the majors.

I've never seen a set of pitches that good before...I'd definitely give him a shot to start so I could see how he was going to do.  I'm afraid if you put him in a relief role that he'll have a bad outing or two that will wreck his numbers and you'll give up on him before you know what he may be able to do.

I don't think I use him in the ML. I had some trade interest in him, so I'll prolly go that route. If I keep I will bring him up during call-ups and see how he does. If his splits were at least L50/R50 I would find a spot for him. This team is a contender so even pitching him the last few games may not be possible.

I wouldn't let him touch righties...only option would be an LHS - but still a reach.  Great set of pitches though.
