I tend to run a 4 man rotation, with my long B being a spot 5th starter. Twice this season, After moving my Long B guy to be the next guy to start, he has been brought in to pitch. (Once it was a 17-inning game -- but in the other game, there were other rested relievers). Again, i know I could control it more by going into player settings and unchecking relief, but this game is not my life I forget at times.
I think we can all agree than in a real baseball league (which this is supposed to simulate), the manager would either:
A) not put that pitcher in; or
B) be able to change his starting pitcher after using him in relief.
Since we don't have the second option, there needs to be a tweak so option A is utilized more often
