If you redshirt a player and his WE drops, if you leave the RS on all year, will the WE ever go back to a reasonable level as he gets PT, or are you doomed to have a kid that has a WE under 10?

until he transfers, I think so - cant prove that it might not sometime go up a bit

and I dont think it is certain that he will transfer but if his WE has gone to 1, I bet likely

From my experience, you're doomed.  The only way to get it back is to pull off the RS.

That's what I thought.  I have been trying all year, was ready to give up then at mid-terms he went below 2.0, so I decided to try again.

As I side note I noticed something regarding the RS I hadn't before.  On my ENMU team I RS'd a guy and he said he wasn't mad but he wasn't happy and his WE only dropped 5 points.  In my experiance its all or nothing, so this was new to me.

I've dealt with 5-12 point drops pretty frequently...  And depending on the player and his starting WE I'm sometimes happy to eat that.

Had a guy go from 24 WE to 12 WE after getting the news.  Not really a difference to me at all.  His WE was bad to begin with.  Even a few point gained was an advantage.

Been like that for a long time -- possible to get drops of only a few points, or sometimes more significant (say, 42 to 22) but not all the way to 1.

If you RS a guy and his we drops to 1, it's the same as recruiting a guy with a we of 1. His we will not magically rebound the following season, it would go up very slowly w. PT/starts during his career, but he'll always be a very low we player.
