At least the second round.  Don't mind first round so much with top teams getting byes.

Agree with opie. First round is fine at 5 games. But two rounds of 5 is leaving too much to chance. A longer seroes bodes better for the team with more depth.

Depth isn't really a concern with the off days.    5 game should mean S1, SP2, SP3, SP1, SP2.   7 Game is S1, SP2, SP3, SP1, SP2, SP3, SP1.    It just leaves less to chance.

In short, the team with the better SP2 has an advantage in 5 games and the team with the better SP1 has the advantage in 7 games.

For the teams not in the playoffs (or eliminated) SHORTENING the playoff time would be beneficial.  While 7 game series might be nice, unless it is linked to a way to make the playoffs move quicker (games every 4 hours instead of 8?) it will just further frustrate the uninvolved.

which, if you are competent at the game, can be done in one session on the computer.  Still leaving 2 weeks of boredom.  One of the reasons I try to make the playoffs as often as possible is to avoid the down time.

boring is boring, one of the reasons i have several teams and try to keep them playing as long as possible - miss the playoffs and the team goes on cruise control - for the owner with limited experience or only one or 2 teams it has to seem like forever.  Even worse if the team takes days at the rollover
