MCLA had 7 wins against RPI top 50 while you only had 5. Hamline had 8.
MCLA also faced 6 teams in the 300s rpi, while I had 1. I have a much higher SOS than MCLA and slightly higher SOS than Hamline. I probably wouldn't switch spots with MCLA since his half of the bracket is harder but this seeding makes no sense.
This is interesting, but think of it this way (though note that I am not saying this is how it is done by the computer) -
For a #1 or #2 seed, what is the difference between playing Lycoming (8-20, 221 RPI) and playing UMass, Dartmouth (9-18, 324 RPI).?
The 300 number is a perfectly fine - albeit arbitrary - cut off, but you were each favored by 50 points against your respective opponents. I'm not sure Mass. Liberal should be penalized too much in the seeding because his cupcakes were slighly more cupcake-ish than yours. It should matter far more (and perhaps it does) how many times a team faced/beat a team that actually had something more than a hail mary chance of winning (however you figure out which teams those are).
