Importance of coach prestige/experience? Topic

Just a quick recruiting question. Supposing all else was the same (money, distance, school prestige, etc), how important is the prestige/experience of a coach in the recruiting process?

I don't think there is one...  And it's a good thing, too, or new players would really struggle in D3 trying to learn the game while recruiting against a stacked deck.

Supposedly there is an effect from the number of NBA draft picks a coach has produced, but I have no idea how big an effect that is (and it would only have a heavy impact in D1 battles).  Also, if a coach has a bad reputation then recruits won't believe his promises, but again, I don't know if this has a significant impact.  I think that the three things you mention (money, distance, and prestige) will usually swamp any variables relating to the coach himself.

Theoretically a coach's prestige would be tied very closely to a schools prestige, assuming he's been there for a few seasons
