shortly before signings 2 years ago i cut i player that i had recruited and my rep dropped from A+ to A-  almost 2 full years later it's still at A-.  How long does it normally take to recover?

It only updates once a season.  Since you cut the guy during signings the season had already rolled and you've only had one update.  That said, it usually goes up 1/3 of a letter grade per year.

hmmm no.   i had one guy this year (a junior in his 3rd year with the team) who kept asking for 2-3 more min per game and i played him less and less.  he said he was really ****** off in an email etc and his WE dropped 3 pts but he's still on my roster.  i don't know if transfers have been determined yet, but maybe WIS knows he's going to transfer? not sure.

the only other thing i can think of is that one of my recruits last year (recruited as a junior) had his WE drop 1 point on the very last day of the season (my conf tourney loss).  i had promised him 10min and he finished with 274 min, 25 gp, 2 games started.  my team played 27 games.  he played 2 min in the conf tourney game.  he was above 10mpg the entire season so i did not break any promise.  i assume his WE drop had to do with wanting more than 10min as a junior.

I'm pretty sure the calculation is done numerically and not by letters. So hypothetically if 90-93 is an A- you could be at 92.9. Very nearly an improvement to the next letter grade but not quite

hmmm my rep went up to A after the job period expired. interesting.  i guess i erroneously figured it would have been beforehand,

It does it after the season roll over, not before.
