Does anyone else find it ironic that he's griping about poor academic scores, yet he spelled ineligible wrong?

Spelling flames, awesome.

Even if you increase the chance of something happening, it can still end up the same. . .

I didn't increase the chance of the minutes going up, I  in FACT raised the minutes.

If raising the minutes in SH merely increases the odds that the grades may go up(which I have not seen anyone confirm), then that system would be, as I said in the thread title, ridiculous.

SH minutes should correlate to GPA.

As a general rule, I start all (Non Redshirt) Freshmen at 10 minutes and adjust up or down based on the first Mid Term grades.  That usually works OK for me.
This is what I have done since the dawn of time... err.. 2005. Never had an ineligible player. Never.

I'm not sure you're using "correlate" correctly. If SH minutes increase the likelihood that grades go up, there would (I think) be a correlation between SH and GPA over a sufficient sample size.

You seem to want instead there to be a direct relationship between the two, so that if a kid spends 5 minutes in SH, his grades go up by 1 letter; 10 minutes in SH, his grades go up by 2 letters; 15 minutes, 3 letters (or whatever ratio you think is appropriate).

Frankly, that sounds pretty silly from both a game-play perspective and from a "reality" perspective.

I never said you increased the chance of the minutes going up . . . which you pretty much HAVE to know if you even bothered to read the post.

And no-one has 'confirmed' that because its completely obvious.  Exactly how much, at what ratio, or what the increase in odds is might be up for debate, but suggesting that it doesn't do it at all is entering silly season.

He wants, it sounds like, a 'GPA market' where you just directly buy the GPA points on a "One minute equals x GPA' basis.

If you find that player information is illegible, you may need to adjust your screen resolution.

For the record, your guy could be like Brandon Knight. He's an Engineering Major at my school taking sophomore level classes due to the fact that he got 24 credit hours from AP tests. Too bad that didn't help him beat Ole Miss tonight. Still bitter.
