Just signed an international in Tark. Happy I signed him as I thought I was trailing as of 11:00 P.M. when I got this message:

I thank for scholarship offer - me just want talk to another coach. You please wait?

No other scholarship messages were sent after that. I don't recruit many internationals. Is this a typical you are leading response? I think it is pretty ambiguous and it lead me to believe that I was tied or trailing (which in turn caused me to expend additional recruiting effort). Would appreciate feedback from those that recruit internationals often.

I never recruit internationals but imo it seems like the international version of this resonse;

 

Coach, I really appreciate you having enough faith in me to extend me a scholarship offer. I hope that you have enough faith to wait for me to visit another school. Unless they show me something, I should be playing for you next season.

 

I suppose that could be it but it was significantly different than a response I received a day earlier when I was leading which was not ambiguous at all.

Is it possible that the other player pulled his scholly, or maybe that he already signed more than the 6 players allotted to 1 class and this would have made 7? Just thoughs I have no idea.

No. Others still had open spots. One school took 3 walkons while the other took 1.

The other coach could have been expending additional recruiting effort too, so your effort may not have really been extra, but necessary - it may have just been enough to keep the small lead you had when that scholarship message went out.
