Does anyone know where there is a list of all the $ credits and reward points that can be won in HBD?   I know one wins differing $ credits based on what level of the playoffs you make it to but there are several other things they give out credits for as well. 

Finish in last place in your division gets you $4.
Finish in 3rd place in your division and don't make the playoffs gets you $1.
Lose in the 1st round of the playoffs (play in round) gets you $4.
Lose in the 2nd round of the playoffs (division round) gets you $8.
Lose in the 3rd round of the playoffs (league championship round) gets you $16.
Lose in the World Series gets you $25.
Win the World Series gets you 5,250 points.

Prizes are based strictly on the big league level and are broken down as follows:

1. World Series Winner receives 5,250 Reward Points.
2. World Series Runner-Up receives $25 in credits.
3. League Championship Runner-Up (2) receives $12 in credits.
4. Division Championship Runner-Up (4) receives $8 in credits.
5. First-Round Runner-Up (4) receives $4 in credits.

*World Series winners who used a promo code or took over a team without paying receive $25 in credits instead of Reward Points.

I know there are other things that earn credits like the first 2 in sportboy's post.  You also get a $10 credit if you have been in a world for 5 consecutive seasons. 

One I don't have an explaination for is recently I recieved 2 different $8 credits in the same season for the same world.  One was the $8 for losing the dision round of the playoffs that was paid out at the end of the season.  What is the other one for?  It arrived about 12 days prior to the end of the season.   Do they pay out anything for minor league playoff wins?  I did have both my Low A and AAA teams win their World Series.

What's the reasoning behind this?  If tanking for draft picks wasn't enough incentive to lose at the end of the season after dropping out of the playoff race, they decide to throw a few $ in to make it more tempting?

I assume the idea was:  You're team is so bad, how can we convince you to come back and play again when you're team isn't likely to improve enough to become a playoff team next year.

I don't think that plan works out very well, but my guess is that is the thinking behind it.

I agree with you taz. Nevertheless, it's a terrible idea. There's no way the 4 teams that lose in the 1st round of the playoffs should get the same amount as the 8 teams that finish last in their division. It's quite messed up in my opinion. Sometimes there are random credits that are given out that I'm not even sure what for but I never complain about those. If you don't make the playoffs, you shouldn't get anything.

There are never random credits.

World commissioners also get $5 credits every season.  Unfortunately, some of those commishes don't really do anything to deserve them.

Obviously but I wasn't sure what they were from so I referred to them as random credits.
