Will you loose your Type A comp pick by signing a Type A yourself?

I received the 28th pick in this year's draft from my Type A free agent signed by another team.

I am considering signing a Type A myself, but I won't if it costs me the 28th pick I got from my own Type A....

No. It will cost you your first pick beyond #16 that you had at the very beginning of the season, before any FA were signed.
