Dumb question about my team Topic

Just out of curiosity, I am wondering why one guy on my team is much more dangerous offensively than the other. They are both sophomore SFs and play roughly equal minutes. I have had their distros identical all season long, but the engine seems to give more shots to the other guy for some reason. I'm guessing this is because Ashburn comes off the bench sometimes and plays more minutes with other bench players who would tend to have lower distros. Am I on the right track?

A couple of additional things to consider -

Name Yr. Pos GP GS MIN FGM FGA FG3M FG3A FTM FTA OFF REB AST TO STL BLK PF PTS

M. Ashburn So. SF 10 5 240 42 78 0 0 45 53 16 44 9 11 8 3 14 129
W. Cardoza So. SF 10 10 231 27 59 0 0 23 29 6 32 6 20 11 3 23 77

1) You have Cardoza's IQ (B-) listed, but don't have Ashburn's (B+).
2) Ashburn has 19 extra shot attempts - but he also has 10 additional offensive rebounds (so that accounts for some of the shot attempts) and 9 fewer turnovers (which also accounts for some of the shot attempts)
3) You mentioned Ashburn spending more time on the court with lower distro teammates, which is important, but when he doesn't start he also likely spends more time on the floor against inferior competition (as compared to Cardoza starting).

Thanks zbrent. Not sure how cardoza's IQ didnt get posted. You mention Ashburn's rebounding, but cardoza is more athletic AND a better rebounder so that is curious in itself

Not really.  If Cardoza is the starter he spends more time on the court with other starters from both teams, so the other rebounders are better and even if he's better than Ashburn he might be less good compared to the other people he's competing with for boards.  It also tends to be the case that backups shoot poorer %s than starters so there can be more available rebounds to go around for backups.
