are the HV's and CV's equal in their effectiveness?  Is there one I should use over the other?

The updated FSS has him "definitely leaning towards" my team.  Do I need to put any more effort in against the sim?

With him being 10 miles away HVs are more effective.  It depends on who you ask, but the average coach will tell you 1 CV ~ 2.5 HV.  That makes HVs more cost-effective at close range and CVs more cost-effective at longer distances.  Also, you don't need to wait for FSS.  Once you get the scholarship e-mail telling you you're in the lead against a sim you can stop recruiting.  He might catch up due to considering credit and force you to put in a little bit more effort, but even that is unlikely.  How did you not know these things and build a team as good as John Jay?  You're missing the little things, so you must have figured out some huge secret I haven't yet.  Your team was scary good last season.

lol...  Thanks for the compliment, but I really do not know what I am doing.  I am doing ok at amassing talent, but not neccessarily good at coaching and gameplanning.  I could be so much better overall.  I know how to pulldown a guy that is not considering anyone, but this time I wanted one particular guy that was head and shoulders above the other guys in my area.  The only other time I battled a D2 sim from D3, I lost.  Not sure what the circumstances were.  I am getting good at recognizing the better players, and am ok at getting them to commit.  If I knew how to use them properly then I might be dangerous.....lol.....

You're getting Petersen...  He is a beast, gonna be 700+.  I didn't go after him because of his athleticism.  But he's better than at least 1 if not both of the centers I recruited.  Sounds like maybe he was more expensive, too.  Which of those highs are high-high?  Well actually, don't give that away until he signs.  Don't want to get him sniped if some D2 coach on here sees it and likes what he sees.

All 3 of your signings so far were on my short list...  You're the only team with a lot of overlap.  I think there aren't too many good D3 programs in NY in Knight.  I also feel the same way about recruiting and game planning.  I feel like some years I've had a ton of talent and just wasn't able to harness it.  This year won't be one of those years for me.  A bit of a down season for Rochester I fear.

This will be an interesting year.  I put together a monster non-conference schedule.  After 10 games, I'd be willing to bet my SOS will be top 10-20.  Conference should be pretty much a breeze.  I'm not as good as last year, but I feel like I have a solid core and will make some noise and have a pretty solid season.  I'm not moving to D2 in this world anytime soon.  I want to create a dynasty with John Jay.

I'd like to schedule games against both of you in Knight. I have some solid recruits coming in, and should have things looking up at Nichols in a season or two.

No promises, but I'll look into it.  I won't be setting up my next year's non-conference schedule for a little while and will see what my needs are at that time.
