mjp, what team would you recomend?can you link it here?
If you're looking for a quick winner there really isn't one, all of the sim teams are C prestige or lower.  If you are planning to be a long term coach, they will all be good enough over time as long as it runs the O and D you want.

You can rely on a few tournament teams every year I'd say though so money isn't a huge issue. We certainly aren't the top conference in Wooden, but we have potential to be with the strong owners we have. Just grab one of the sim teams and give it a few seasons.
If someone's gonna be a long term coach, why would it matter what O and D the team runs?  They can always just switch it.

Sure, but it's easier to start with the right ones.

I second looking at Minnesota.  5 long-term guys, all willing to help any way we can.  Active CC with great guys.  Very good at the top, but not so good that you can't compete after a couple seasons.

Check USA South conference--right now, only two humanoids.  Would like more.  Two teams, Shenandoah and Methodist, stant out.  There are two teams that had better records, but they need too many replacements.  Good conference to learn the game, since there are a lot of sims.

The little East has these teams:
Keene State:  Great team if you want to start with a blank slate - nine slots open next year, and two of the remaining will be seniors -  and a c+ prestige. . which as far as d3 sims to take over, is pretty good.

Rhode Island:  Almost the opposite - only graduating one player and will have nine upperclassmen.  Also has a few reasonably nice pieces and can probably improve a good bit in its first year with decent coaching.

Dartmouth: Ten returning players, will be five freshmen and five sophomores. . . returning from a 4 - 23 team.  On the other hand, nowhere to go but up.

West Connecticut State:  Six returning players, six open slots.  Has an interesting SG in Schwulst(Will be Junior next year)

Bridgewater state:  Only graduates two, finished 9 - 19, but can probably do much better under a human.

Framingham state: Graduates three players, does have a pretty decent returning PG.

Not going to knock you for choosing any team, but there's no substantive difference between a C and C- in D3.

Good luck, Wooden is great!

Thanks paul...
