Colorado is way over inflated and is taking away from the realism.  I am in a league where the gm has left his team which has a 10-45 record.  He has the top for in the league for runs scored and has gotten both position player of the week awards.  GET RID OF COLORADO OR ADJUST THE SETTINGS.

Stadiums don't "take away from the realism".  Owners do that with the way they build and run their teams.

Sounds like the real problem in this example is neglect.  In real-life, the front-office of a major league franchise isn't going to up and leave when things go bad.

That'd be kind of awesome if they did. Just quit without a word of explanation, and the other teams in the league would have to wait about 40 games before finding a replacement.

By early July, John McGraw was the manager of the New York Giants, and shortly there after several of the Orioles stars would join him. The Orioles were left in a shambles, finishing in last place with a 50-88 record. American League President Ban Johnson picked up the scraps and took over operation of the Birds for the rest of the season. It would be these incidents that would lead in part to there being no World Series in 1904.

Man, I'll bet their world chat was entertaining to read that season. And evidently customer service was of little help resolving the issue.

That's only half of it.   Terms were loaning the Orioles players in order to play games.   Sort of like a Little League scrimmage.   "We've only got 8 here today.  Can you loan us a player?"   John McGraw kicked the AL's ***.

How could neglecting a team cause it's players to do better?

Neglecting a team leads to a 10-45 record.

Owners "take away from the realism" by stocking a team playing in a hitter's ballpark with one-dimensional players who can hit the snot out of the ball but don't know how to use a glove.

If they're doing better at 10-45, imagine how bad they were with someone manning the controls.

I think this is more about grapeape wanting to have a better shot at one of his hitters winning a Player of the Week Award. I'd agree its tougher to win a player or pitcher of the week award playing in a neutral park than in Coors or Petco, but I don't lose sleep over it. (But I do take it into account when voting for awards at the end of the season..
