Right, I totally get that.  I understand Mike's point about unintended consequences, and agree for the most part.

But in this situation, I don't know how hard it would be to write in some code that if multiple players come in in the same inning, that they be assigned to their positions on the hierarchy.  I can't imagine it would be that difficult.  I agree that it would be a mess if you start looking for the best defense every inning.

For anybody who's interested, here's the response I got from Customer Service:

"This is a known shortcoming in our logic. It pertains to players staying in the game after entering as a PH or PR. We check to see if they can play the position they entered for (which both can) but we never check to see if they should make an additional switch to another position for optimal defense. It's on our wish list, but we haven't gotten to it yet.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention."
