Promised Minutes / Chronic Foul Out Topic

I promised 25 minutes to a recruit. I am fine with sucking it up and giving him the time because my team is awful anyway (a reflection of the coach, I think) and I am trying to build for future seasons. That said, he fouled out in a grand total of 9 minutes during his first game. Which leads me to an immediate concern: What happens if he chronically fouls out with low minute totals? Will I still get the complaints about the promise and the threat of transfer / actual transfer if he comes nowhere close to the guaranteed minutes? I assume that I will. If so, should I just chalk him up as a lost cause at some point if the one game sample continues?

I believe that fouling out doesn't  penalize you in that way.   If you get an 'unhappy message' from him, and he averaged 25 minutes in his other games, I'd send a ticket on it

The game doesnt differentiate. Minutes are minutes whether he fouls out or not.

In your example he would be ****** because of broken promises.

Do you purposley pick top academic schools? Penn, Northwestern, U. Of the Sciences, James Madison are all very good schools is that an accident?

Ummmm, JMU is NOT a place with exceptionally high academic standards.  At all.

Thanks for the feedback. He lasted 31 uneventful minutes in the first game. I am considering whether to take him out of the lineup, tag him for mop up, and then make sure that I never let my mop up player play. Does that trick actually work?
