Do you need scholarships to be considered Topic

Not to tip my hand too much, but in Allen I have 0 scholarships open (you may remember my post about will a guy quit, he didn't)

I spent some conference money on a player and got emails from him saying I'm his #1 choice and he wishes he could sign but he is not considering me. I gave him a schollie offer so that couldn't be the problem.

Does he just need more money or will he not consider me since I technically have 0 scholarships open?

If you think that you can sign the guy then you are going to have to cut a player. I don't know about the considering thing maybe it is because you don't technically have an opening. If you cut a guy and then he is considering you you might have your answer. Or else just wait a cycle or two and see if he shows up considering you. I know that you can have more people considering you than open scholarships, but I don't know how that plays out with 0 open scholarships. Sorry if that was all over the place, not sure it really helped either.

ha yea pajama thanks for the input thats basically where I am

I know if I have 1 schollie I can have 10 consider me but I've never recruited with 0 schollies.

Looks like the answer is yes you do need to rescind to get considered.

Yeah, if you have none remaining noone will consider you. Its the same thing if you have 10 considering you and x amount sign and your class is done the rest go undecided that cycle.
