World to World Recruit Variation Topic

I am new to Division I, just making the jump to D+ George Mason this morning, and I wanted to get a better idea of what level of recruits I should target with a D+ prestige.

So I began to look at the recruits in the Iba world I believe, who is currently in recruiting, and noticed that they seemed to be noticeably worse (from what I saw) than the recruits I was looking at in Crum. I found recruits with similar rankings and the players in Crum seemed to be significantly higher rated in the core ratings.

So my question is, is this something planned out by seble or is it just the result of the random recruit variation?

Thanks and if you want to make any suggestions to a new DI coach, it would be much appreciated. :)

I would focus on guys ranked between 40ish to 80 at all positions except PF. PF's are harder to get so maybe look between 50-120. There are always exceptions like if a high 2 star or even 3-star is very close to campus and you have some money go for it. If a bigger school comes along you can always look someplace else. And always look for potential!

car, I don't know when each of these recruiting pools were created, but it could be because Iba was generated under the old system and Crum under the new. (And if so, I take that as an encouraging positive.)

I don't think so - Crum starts recruiting on Sunday, so it may have the oldest recruit pool out there.

No, I'm pretty sure our recruits were generated a few days after the 2/3 release.

So by the way jbob, all of the recruits I am looking at are within 370 miles. I have about 50 recruits on my watchlist currently (way more than the usual 10-15 for me). What are the chances that I get a two or three star player and what type of strategy should I employ to land such a player? Is it better to go wild the first cycle or wait it out to see if he gauges the interest of some mid-major schools that have higher budgets?

Crum recruits are under the old system, I'm positive about this.

Well then the old system seems much better.

For low level dI / top tier dII I agree!
