How many A+ teams - engine effect?? Topic

I happened to notice what looked like a lot of A+ prestige teams in Tark - 17

So I looked elsewhere and here are current numbers

Naismith 11
Wooden 10
Rupp 9
Smith 12
Iba 9
Crum 13
Tark 17
Knight 12
Phelan 10

I dont have Allen...

Does this tell us anything?  Would looking more broadly at the different distros of prestige tell us something?

Tark is the oldest world - 56 seasons.  And fewer of those seasons are with the earliest versions of the engine.

The two games a day worlds Tark, Knight and Phelan have the most seasons with the new engine and newest recruit generation methodology.

Maybe it is just random and if teh median is 11 or 12 one should not be surprised to see one 17.....or maybe it has something to do with more seasons?  But then again Knight and Phelan have significantly fewer total seasons....

Hypotheses?

What should we see in prestige trends IF - and I think it is more than IF - BCS schools now have a bigger edge than before?

As Metsmax said, It's more than an if.

BUT if it is happening, shouldnt we see changes in the prestige distro?  of course, we dont have old prestige distribution info...

It's pretty much impossible to make a judgement off of things like this so early. I mean Crum does have 13 and is the 2nd most. Maybe it's possible that there are just more top flight coaches in D1 in Tark then the other worlds. Take for example coaches like Mbalding at Rutgers, Storm69 at LSU and Gillispie at Kentucky who are all A+ programs either only have D1 teams in Tark or in Mbalding's case is other D1 team in Knight he just got to 3 seasons ago so hasn't had a chance to build them up.

Allen has 14 A+ schools (and I believe, the only A+ conference).

Allen used to have an A+ conference, but the ACC in Allen is moving to the NBA simulation....

Aside from what this says or doesnt say about recruit generation, does the 17 in Tark tell us anything??

More - I think useless - data

lets go beyond A+ - show here the number of A+, A, A- and total A range prestige for each world

Nais   11   9    9  29
Wood 10   9  11  30
Rupp    9   9  10  28
Smith 12   8    7  27
Iba        9  11   7  27
Crum  13   9   7  29
Tark     17   7   8  32
Knight 12  10 13 35
Phelan 10  11  7 28

Which looks to me like it tells us nothing....

Shouldn't UNC in Phelan have dropped its A+ with a 1-26 season?

Lostmyth obviously built up a ridiculous history at that place... but 1-26 should have dropped at least a little bit, right?  Especially if the most recent season is supposed to be the most heavily weighted?

Full break out for Allen is 14 A+, 8 A, 7 A-.

It's baseline is A+. And plus, he won the NC last season.
