Any chance he'll consider? Topic

It's more hypothetical than real, because it's almost a situation that came up this recruiting session but I abandoned it.

I am a D3 A+.  The player is a pulldown being considered (but not "tight with" a D2 sim).

I put enough effort in to be able to recruit the kid so that the message is something like "I can't give you a yes or no right now," but not enough so that he is considering.  He rejects guaranteed minutes but not HVs/CVs.

Any chance the kid would have considered based on the "interest" credit or something else without more effort?  Or would he have taken the minutes at some point without more effort?

I understand I could have used a little bit more effort to get him to consider, but I really need the money to win a battle right now, so I'm just wondering about those specific questions.

I believe the answer to both your questions is no. You wouldn't have any considering credit as he isn't considering, and with him considering the D II and not you I don't think he'd take the minutes promises until you get him on your list. As you say if he was taking HVs/CVs, a little more effort (more of those) would probably have got him considering, and I believe the promises would have been accepted then.

Good point.  I don't think it's necessarily "considering" credit such that you only get credit for items once he's considering, but you're probably right that you don't get credit for scouting trips and denied minutes :)

The more I think about it, the more I realize how stupid this question is.
