I can't see either of the prospects' current numbers, so I'd have to work on a few assumptions.  No prospect ever reaches all of his projections, and how close he gets to them depends on A) how far he has to go, B) how good his coaches are, C) how much playing time he gets, and D) makeup.  This is how I imagine these two guys as MLers

Player 1: Average defensive C with a solid bat.  Will probably play 130 games/year and hit .290 with an .840 OPS, about 25 HRs and 90 RBIs.  On the FA market you can probably find a guy like this for $5-6mil (at least in my world)

Player 2: Probably the ace of your pitching staff, or if you are stocked, your SP2.  Control/vsL/vsR will probably end up 90/78/78 or something like that.  He'll routinely pitch 200 innings/yr and have a career ERA somewhere between 3.00 and 3.50.  On the FA market, a guy look this will usually cost about $8-9mil (again, in my world).

Given the comparison based on my guestimation, I would not hesitate to say pick Player 2, hands down.  Guys as useful as him are rare.  Player 1 is good, but not as hard to find.
