I want to rescind one of my guys that's a senior to balance out my classes to 3/3/3/3. If I rescind his scholarship before recruiting starts, will I get extra money for the open slot.

ok, to follow up on this....if i had no slots to recruit into at beginning of season, it is normal to have pretty much a couple of hundred dollars for recruiting?  meaning i threw away three slots?

Yes, pretty much, you threw away three slots.  You will get money for them the NEXT season though.
