As nearly as I can tell, HOF is based almost entirely on money paid, teams played. The cutoff seems to be somewhere in the 50-70 team range, ~10K games played. Are any other factors considered?
From a pure marketing perspective, I can understand WIS rewarding owners like me who shell out a lot of money for teams, even if we are doggedly pursuing mediocrity throughout our WIS careers. But I think they could expand their HOF criteria a little to reward exceptional performance. Pretty tough to argue with the credentials of profcake -- 9 championships in 10 finals, 5-for-5 in TOC finals, a remarkable 5 TOC championships in 9 TOC entered (what happened to the 10th TOC, profcake?), a .651 TOC winning percentage. Clearly HOF caliber. Ditto for zubinsum, whose .591 winning percentage looks to be third behind only discodemo and daronb in all of WIS, as nearly as I can tell.
Let `em in.
