There are many examples of what we call "evil geniuses" throughout history. Hitler and Stalin are two prime examples. OBL was not a raving maniac on a killing spree who needed to be put into a rubber room. He was a cold, calculating organizer of terror all under the guise of religious fervor. Considering the amount of resources spent by the major world powers, don't think for one second these gov't.'s didn't hold a "grudging" respect for his ability to build a world wide network that succeeded time and again in committing acts of atrocity and for many years his elusiveness in avoiding capture. This guy was evil from his toes to the top of his head, and whether you call it assassination, murder, killing, or whatever, there is no need to split hairs, the sane world wanted him dead, period.
