Same school/ same recruiting year Topic

I am the head coach at Radford in Allen, and our recruiting has been going on for a while. Signings started yesterday and I got all of my recruits that I needed and two of my recruits are from the same exact school, position, and they were both freshman.

I thought this was really neat and I was wondering if anyone else has done this before? If so how did they turn out?

Also I was thinking that if you targeted two kids from the same school and if you were giving them some attention that there should be like a bonus or some extra interest in that school.

Also I was thinking if your school recruits a kid from a certain high school that in the next couple years (while the kid you recruited is still at your school) if another kid comes up in recruiting that you go after from that school then you should gain some interest since the recruits upperclassmen is at your school.

That is pretty cool.

It's been suggested before that we receive an advantage when we return to the same high school for a recruit.  But nothing's come of it

I'd like to see brothers a couple years apart, or even twin brothers, on occasions.  It happens all the time in real life.

So what I'm wondering is do both guys play the same offense and defense?  Did you call the coach and did the same guy respond to both?

And I know these stats really don't mean anything, but I wonder how many points that high school team put up.  They had 2 guys (both PF's) averaging 30ppg.

In reality, both of those guys couldn't have been playing PF and scoring 30 PPG.  One of them had to be at SF or C.  Slight hole in the recruit generation logic that allowed that to happen.  Or maybe other people don't think of the listed position like a high school position.  That's kinda the way I think about it since it's frequently not their optimal position.  Of course in reality it's just a base set of "average" ratings parameters they're generated from...

Yeah when I scouted them the same coach responded and they ran the same offense. Yeah that high school had to of put up some pretty big numbers.

No brothers, but I had a PF/C duo from the same high school class once in D3.  IIRC, one was a 3 year starter, the other kept the bench warm.

edit: went back and looked, they both sucked.
