Sad news, but not unexpected.  I had read last week that doctors had determined Killebrew's cancer was incurable, and he was in hospice care.

Yes, i heard he decided to stop treatment and i can only imagine how hard that must have been for him and his family.  My thoughts and prayers are with Him and his family!

I just watched some clips of him.   I think he swung a tree trunk, his freaking bat looks like it is 46-40 or something.  I have 60 year old trees in my backyard smaller.

One of my indelible baseball memories was watching a game on TV with my grandpa in the '60s and Killebrew's swing on a HR....at the very instant contact was made you knew it was long gone. It was a thing of raw power and beauty.
