Wouldn't it make more sense for career MinL players with overall ratings over 60 who become FAs to ask for the ML min contracts instead of multiyear multimillion dollar contracts?
Some of them would probably be signed for $327K as injury insurance, instead of sitting out 1-2 years while their ratings drop and they ask for a MinL deal.
If they're worth more than the ML min, the market should bid them up.
I think this would help out worlds that run out of position players. I don't see a downside.
Anyone see a downside?
