Is this a backup option message.

"Update on Bradley Flynn, looks like 'you know who' beat us to the punch. He wouldn't even give me 5 minutes. He basically said he'd play for us when hell freezes over."

I'm not sure what happened because he didn't reject the initial phone call but him saying hell freezes over sounds kinda bad but I'm not completely hooked. Can anyone tell?

Not a backup message. Many phone calls are not rejected by uninterested recruits. Backup message is clearly worded. Hell freezes over means another team at much higher prestige,maybe d2 is on him or you have no shot. Move on. GL.

when you say the phone call was not rejected does that mean that the $10 was spent but there was no reply email from the kid? If so, that means move on, no chance to pull.

Their was a reply as shown above and the $10 was spent. Sometimes for me at least, the $10 goes away after sending a phone call to a recruit and also getting no answer back.

I've seen a bunch of stuff about pulling down but I know now that the only message he can send has to say "backup option" to try to pull-down. But their seems to be enough talent at D3 for me anyways

ah - I thought you meant you sent a 2nd call after not getting an initial response maybe. GL.
