Is it possible to remove that stupid minimum rule that only prevent newcomers to build idiotic teams?

I mean, most of WIS players know (or will, sooner or later) what are the cookies... they know how many IPs and PAs they need to be competitive ( if not, most of them will learn fast enough) . Other spenders ($$$) won't stay anyway if they don't get it, but, seriously, who cares about them??

What you need to get interest from WIS-lover is to offer them a variety of strategies and possibilities to beat the opposition... Puting league minimums killed some "not-that-guaranteed-strategies-but-still-interesting-to-try" and also totally ruined the chances of an extreme team to recover from a bad/tough start. Trading PAs for IPs is now impossible, because almost everyone draft close to minimums, interesting and/or possibility of trades become inexistant and WW don't allow you to drop more than 1 player at the same time.

WIS seems to me a fun opportunity to be both a coach and a GM of a pro-sport team. Can I manage my team the way I think is the best without having someone thinking over me "is he that stupid to do this? we should prevent him or else he might lose interest in our game"....?

If you create flaws or cookies ( or wtv the proper name), its your problem...please don't destroy strategy and thinking... if a noob gets destroyed here, he, mostly, won't come back anyways... if he comes back, its because he have interest and he will learn what needs to be learned... and he will spend... which is what you want ultimately...

I like newcomers that build idiotic teams, I was doing it well past being a newcomer....

Okay, maybe I was a little upset...

What I mean is, I would like more ways to turn my team around... more players in trade, or making multiple move at the same time in the WW. I barely use any of those features, but when I have to, I'd like to be able to get a pitcher without dropping all my Howie Clark's for a bunch of Huggie Jennings' to raise my PAs, then drop a 2-3M$ part-time/cheap hitter, then draft a few cheap pitchers to raise my IPs, and then when I finally have room to make my pitcher move, he's gone because it took me one hour of mathematics to make a single move possible... Making trades is also complicated if you have to go through the same process of creating IP and PA space...

Just put minimum lower or drop the rule when the league starts, or after X GP or weeks... and/or add up to 5vs5 trades and/or allow us to wave 2 guys at the same time to pickup one...

I pay 13$ for a nice lunch, WIS kindly offers me bread and butter... but there's no knife...

@Trentonjoe: I'm aware of theme leagues, but I dont like high caps or 12-16 teams league... also some of them take forever to fill... Progressives require too much research and time...

For my english, it looks good because I only use words I know how to spell (or close)... its in the sense or 2nd level, I get confuse sometimes and I know some internet wise guy will try to turn everything around... (and it takes me forever to write a post)

@napolean: I like MYSELF to build idiotic teams (if I want to)... even since the minimums I still do it... I tought I understand they put these to prevent newbies to build 2000 PAs team (and I've seen a few in the past)... what I was saying is people who don't have fun (winning or not) here won't stay anyway... those who stay will understand things fast enough to prevent them from hurting themselves (unless its what they want)...

The PA/IP minimums were put in place to kill the Grizzly Fatigue strategy... something it didn't really succeed at doing, and caused more problems then it solved... mistakes happen, yeah. I'm with you, they should probably remove them.

quoting myself:

Other ideas:
-add fees for any game played by a team that does not reach the minimums (like 5 or 10k a game... or automatic loss)
-or give us the possibility to go over 80M$ and freeze the player responsible for this until team goes back to under 80M$. Example: I drop Pedro, I pick up more expensive Joss, then my Joss is frozen until I fit under 80M$...
-or give us back the 10% if we pick a guy that never plays and is drop within 24 hours or is drop before I play my next game.
-or give values in PA and IP to our AAAs...
-or do something else, anything that gives a little roster flexibility...
