NT Selection Process Topic

Does anyone understand the NT selection process.  Specific at large bid examples from this past season that don't make any sense to me.  

Pomona-Pitzer RPI 51 SOS 9   Out

Brooklyn RPI 59 SOS 287  In

SUNY Oswego RPI 58 SOS 230 In

Those are the first ones that jump out at me, there are more if you look through it, if the RPI and SOS numbers are meaningless then what is the criteria used?

the committee also looks at record vs. ranked opponents, road record, and last ten.

That being said, I got screwed this year too and still don't get some seedings, in d1 there was a 44 rpi who got a 16 seed.  The other 16 seeds had RPI's of  107,117, and 141.  Sometimes it just doesn't make sense
