I would say:
#1 is most offensively skilled but least likely to contribute right away due to ATH/SPD deficiencies.
#2 is the best pure fit based on ATH/SPD/DEF ratings and potential, but least offensively skilled
#3 is sort of a hybrid of #'s 1 and 2

Depends on the role you're wanting from your SF. No. 2 will make a very good defensive SF, even if the Ath/Spd/Def high's are "just" low-high. He'll also be the best rebounder of the 3 when its all said and done, and personally I like when my PG/SG/SF can contribute a little something to the rebounding fray. If you have other solid scoring options on the table and/or if the LP is a high-high, this for me would be the pick.

As for the other 2, No. 3 has more potential upside (more high categories = more chances for high-highs) than No. 1. No. 1 also won't be able to give you very many minutes as a freshman until the stamina increases. Assuming No. 3 doesn't have a sub-30 WE or that No. 1 doesn't start with offensive and defensive IQ's of B- or something significant, I'd go 2-3-1 for my personal hierarchy.

Probably #2, although "whoever has the best work ethic" could be a factor if they aren't close....

sorry--they all have basically the same WE...

This thread is particularly interesting to me, because I also had to choose a SF between these three guys and one other player. I ended up choosing the other guy, obviously. But, I agonized over the decision, and wish I would have waited to see what everyone says here. Of course, then we might have got ourselves into a battle over one of these guys.

So, that said, how about you just sign all three? That way I can follow each for the next four years and determine if I made the wrong decision.

FWIW, I had some concerns over #2's FT shooting and passing, and that was ultimately the reason I didn't go for him. Of course, passing may be more of a priority in a Flex offense than Fastbreak. For ethical reasons, I'll refrain from giving any more opinions since I'm not exactly an unbiased third party here.

But, good luck with the decision. All of these guys will be really solid players.

I looked pretty hard at #2 as well... I think there's a better guy sitting out there, but have no idea if you've scouted his state, and it seems collusive to tell you where... But my order would be 2, 1, 3, fwiw.

Now you've got me curious, wronoj.

Check your sitemail.

as I sitemailed, nevermind-- found a huge flaw.

pretty sure i haven't scouted that state, wronoj.  nor do i have any $ left to do so thanks to losing a battle with a D2 team over an earlier recruit.  maybe after the recruiting period ends you can tell me who it was and what his stats were--i'd definitely be curious to know what i missed on.  i ended up going with #2--a good athlete who can't shoot for sh*t will be a perfect fit on my team!

I'll send it to you... he turns out not to be as good as I'd thought...

I like #2, and think he'll be able to score fine w/o too much LP/PE due to the high Ath/Spd. Too bad his PE isn't at least Avg...

goose, I'd vote #2 also, for reasons already stated (superior ATH/SPD/DEF; will probably be better than expected as a scorer due to ATH/SPD and fastbreak offense).

I just made my "in what SF areas am I willing to compromise?" recruiting decision for Amherst earlier today and ended up going in a pretty similar direction (somewhat less ATH/SPD, better REB, woeful offense).
