Whining players Topic

Have any of you had a player that you made no promises to whine that he wanted just 3 or 4 minutes a game more playing time...

...and then you comply with their wishes and up their playing time by 4 minutes per game and they send you another email 5 games later whining for even more time and threatening to leave if you dont give it to them?

Only once and it was an error.   After his first hissy-fit,  I increased the minutes to what he demanded.  Then he complained again...not asking for more minutes, but whining that I didn't meet his original request.

I sent a ticket and was told that he wouldn't transfer.

I had the exact same thing happen and he just kept on complaining.  Guess I should have sent a ticket like al did, because the player transfered at the end of the season anyway.

Thanks guys, I'll submit a ticket about it.

See, that's why you never cave in to their sniveling little demands. Once you accommodate them the first time, they know coach is soft. They'll just keep asking for more and more and soon it's nothing but anarchy and big screen televisions in the players' dorm. Don't do it -- let them eat cake!

(well, okay, send a ticket because the scenario sounds messed up...but my inner dictator felt the need to be channeled for a moment :) )

That's kind of how I look at it, rednu :)

Last season I signed a D3 PF who had a crappy LP but was strong on ATH/DEF.  I figured I'd redshirt him and give him an extra year to improve his LP game.  But he whined so badly both times I tried to redshirt, I gave up.  THEN he started whining about not playing much (even though my front line was already full of better players).

I eventually got him up to 11 mpg and he settled down, but his WE is still declining.  He just has a bad attitude.  It sounds weird holding a grudge against a computer character, but I'm tempted to just recruit over him next season and the one after and let him pout.  That'll teach him! :)
