My CF was the best in the league 2 seasons ago. That season he won the Silver Slugger. The next season he hit 20 points less but still won a Gold Glove. Who the hell wouldn't give that guy the $8.3 per year he wanted for as many years as he'd take it.

Moving out of Dodger Stadium is an interesting thought.

But should the guys stats fall off a cliff that abruptly??  He's been in LA his whole big league career, and his ratings have only gotten better in a few places; none have decreased. 

He fell off a cliff from his one big year, but I realize now he's only 20-30 points worse than a couple of other ML seasons. There's enough games left in the year that things might even out to .250, just not to .290 and 36 HR.

If player A hit .250-.255 with 10-12 homers every season until his ratings changed, this wouldn't be much of a game.  There has to be some variance based on the roll of the die(or the little 0,1 numbers).
