Are you asking about your team in particular or prestige overall?  Because if it is the latter, there are plenty of teams with top prestiges who haven't done much in the NT for years.

I think final RPI rankings mean a lot as well. So if you lose in the first round but still finish in the top 30 you will get a boost.
