I just completed a regular season (Random Captain 16, 100M cap) that saw a closer on another team put up some amazing numbers on his way to winning both the Cy Young and Fireman awards. 1983 Dan Quisenberry appeared in 70 games (no starts, used as a closer all season). His final numbers:
21-5, 39 saves, 2.12 ERA
Anyone else ever see a pure closer (not a Long A-type relieving a 3-4 inning starter) win over 20?
Also, 26 decisions and 39 saves in just 70 games is really making the most of your appearances...
