It would be a bad idea to "close" that "loophole" because it would cause ghostship teams or teams whose coach for whatever reason is unable to recruit in some season to become absolutely awful very quickly, and that's not good for anybody.

What I mean by cheat is that this could be a back door to fill in large needs (6 plus), by grabbing a few really good ones and letting the AI fill in the rest for no money.  I think the WiS guys should try to close this loophole.  I was fully expecting to play with a 7 man rotation this season, but now I don't have too.

I don't think that's true...  But I could easily be wrong.

It would be good to get some feedback from WiS about this.  If a first year take over does get that help, it might make a new player more inclined to try a rebuild. 

Q: Can my assistant coach sign recruits for me?

A: Yes and no. If you have not made any recruiting efforts for the current recruiting period and have more than 3 scholarships open, the assistant coach will fill all but 2 of the open scholarships (maximum of 5 signings). This is by design to assist coaches who were out of town during recruiting and to address schools which have been abandoned.

That doesn't really answer the question why the assistant coach felt the need to go sign players for you.  I imagine that was a bit of a glitch.  The question that I have is whether you had contacted the players that were recruited to your team by the Assistant.  Do you have any idea whether they have any talent? My guess is that you may regret having them after this season, but not be able to rescind their scholarship without a loyalty hit.

I have gotten my email from the assistant about practice thoughts and yes they have minimal improvement available to them in most areas.  I may have to cut at least 1 next season and take the hit, but I plan on being with the team for a long time, so I'll get that back.  I had not contacted any of the guys he chose though.
